The power of gratitude. Boy oh Boy. I don't know of a more powerful power. I talked about just saying, "Thank you," here. But this article is different.
I called it 201 because its a level up from the gratitude basics.
In gratitude basics we learn how important being grateful for the things in your life will actually impact your health and well-being in a positive way - giving you more to be grateful for. YAY! Fret not. You can't mess up with too much gratitude. We can't overdose here. The cup will never run dry and the returns will never cease.
But in Gratitude 201 we take it up a notch. We get more specific. I learned this from one of my mentors, Marie Forleo, superstar entrepreneur whose business is helping you create the business and life you love.
What I (and possibly you) had been taught before was to list 5 things you're grateful for at bed time. This is Gratitude 101.
I'm grateful for my home studio because
1. It is a space in the house that is just for me
2. I can decorate it however I want. (I just repainted it, and my amazing husband built me the coolest storage unit.)
3. I can keep it as tide as I want
4. It's a sacred space for self care and creativity.
5. It has a huge old school window that overlooks the field and orchard on the farm where I live.
6. It contains beautiful custom furniture made by my handy, loving giant of a husband (including the amazing new storage unit he made me. Check it:)
Is that not the coolest?
(You can always include MORE than 5 reasons in your list.)
It gets more specific, more granular. You feel more connected to the thing / person / animal... and more energetically in tune with the gratitude vibration. The more energetically aligned you can be the more likely you are to attract more things to be grateful for. The more things you have to be grateful for... well... that means there is more goodness in your life, and likely that you're living your healthy, thriving, delightful life which you may know is what I want for you.
It's a beautiful cycle of gratitude, manifesting and more gratitude. A Ferris wheel of joy and love. I'm getting really excited as you can see by all these exclamation points!!!!
Give this one a try. You can practice here in the comments below ;). And like any health habit repetition and consistency is important. Keep up with it for 30 days and see what you notice about how you feel and what is going well in your life.
